David Fiore of Pocono Mountain High School, Swiftwater, Pa, by that time 18 years old, was able to write down Pi to 10,625 decimal places from memory on 1 April 1979.

He is known as the first person to ever break 10,000 decimal places and he needed three hours and five minutes.
