New Everest World Record !
Mats Bergsten of Sweden was able to pass the "Everest Test of Memory" in a new world record time of 17 minutes and 39 seconds on 12 February 2008.

New e World Record !
Bhaskar Karmakar of India was able to better the old record by reciting e to 5,002 decimal places.

Welcome Chile !
We have our first ever entry from South America ! Eric Arturo Martinez Maass was able to recite 33 decimal places.

Current World Record : Chao Lu of China recited 67,890 decimal places on 20 November 2005. For details and an interview see LISTS.

Still no news on Akira Haraguchi, a 60-year-old man from Japan who recited Pi from memory to 83,431 decimal places from Friday, July 1st 2005, to Saturday, July 2nd 2005, and to 100,000 decimal places on October 3rd 2006 to set an unofficial new world record. These performances have never been verified, so they are still unofficial.

Ryan Cokerdem-dePriest is the youngest person to make the Pi World Ranking List (age 3 years 127 days).

David Fiore was the first person to memorize more than 10,000 decimal places of Pi.
